05/10/11- Paula's Eating/Exercise Journal: Tuesday

I always reference the positive, informative articles that I come across in my investigation of different subjects.  I must also reference an article I read in the May issue of Fitness Magazine that I found so completely ridiculous that it made me angry.

This ‘fitness’ magazine had an article saying that many stars had lost weight with the’ baby food diet’.

Yes, they council their readers that by eating 26 jars of baby food throughout the day, that you can lose weight.  Wow.  It may have some level of nutrition since it’s made for babies…but it’s food made for tiny, 30 pound babies.

How can any magazine that hopes to improve a person’s physique and overall health think that having an adult eat baby food meets their dietary needs?  What happens when you go back to eating adult food?  I would surmise, you gain any weight loss back!!

How about this Fitness Magazine; try informing your consumer about eating clean.  Inform them how proper portions of a balance of lean protein, vegetables, fruits, low-fat dairy, whole grains and water can help a person feel more energetic and healthier?

Okay, I feel better now.  Sorry.  I just find that kind of baloney irresponsible and a cop-out.
