At my son's 6 month check-up I asked my doctor if it was OK to drive in the convertible with the baby. He stated the obvious, but I had to me sure. He reminded me of a hat, sunscreen, and/or sunglasses to protect his eyes and make sure he didn't get burnt since his son is very sensitive. First I purchased normal toddler glasses which were big but did the trick. However, every time our son leaned against something they fell forward. This wasn't going to work very well so I made a trip to Toys R' Us. I found the perfect glasses! They are velcro and soft that go around his entire head and expand/shink based on the size of his head. He doesn't seem to mind them at all. I also bought his a hat that has UV protection in it that I want him to wear in the convertible (if we're not on fast roads otherwise it will blow off) or in the pool. I was a little nervous because he hates the wind at our farm but it was a huge success. LOL, in true Baby B. fashion he slapped his blankie on top of his face and fell asleep! This is good news now that he's survived a trip on fast country roads in the convertible...plus it gets better gas mileage than my gas guzzler!
