How did all of you do with Super Bowl parties? I hope you didn't get too crazy with the beverages, fried foods, and chip/dips. But, remember, there are times when you should let loose and if this was one of those times try not to beat yourself up about it today. I would bet that you may have a slight weight gain if you overindulged on the fattening, high-sodium food and stayed up late and got up early this morning. Don't worry, you just need to work out a little harder the next few days. We are not perfect and it's normal to have some days of treating yourself. For me personally, I'm not a fan of football and luckily my husband isn't either (I know, we're about the only ones in the world who aren't football fans!). So I wasn't in any tempting situations last night but I know many of you probably were. Maybe you did make good choices and brought some appetizers that were on the healthier side...good for you if you did! That's my trick for all parties. I make sure that I'm the one to bring veggies or a salad and then I make one appetizer that seems appealing to everyone but is on the leaner side. This helps to make it a more enjoyable experience for you if there's options for the healthy eaters as well. Here's a healthy appetizer from the tasteofhome.com website, apple chicken quesadillas. It sounds kind of funky but the blend of all the food inside is delicious!
